Goly is a goal management app designed to help individuals and groups set, track, and achieve their personal or collective objectives. It combines practical goal-setting features with a strong social component, enabling users to connect, share advice, and support each other’s progress.

My role

I independently designed and developed the entire application using Flutter and Firebase. My focus was on delivering a cross-platform experience with a smooth UI, efficient backend structure, and an engaging social layer to support community interaction.

The challange

The main challenge was to create an app that could:

• Enable structured goal setting with categories, priorities, deadlines, and rewards

• Foster a sense of community through social features and shared progress

• Provide users with clear analytics and insights into their achievements

• Ensure full cross-platform functionality with optimal performance on both iOS and Android

• Deliver a clean, intuitive UX while maintaining flexibility and customization

The Solution

I developed Goly as a cross-platform app using Flutter and Firebase, allowing rapid iteration and a scalable backend. Key features included:

• Goal Management: Users can create, categorize, prioritize, and track goals, with notifications and rewards to maintain motivation

• Social Features: A community feed enables users to share progress, support others, and exchange feedback, fostering accountability and engagement

• Analytics & Tracking: Progress dashboards and visual statistics help users understand and improve their performance over time

• Responsive UI: A user-friendly, mobile-first design ensures accessibility across devices, with customizable elements to fit different user styles

• MVP & Scalability: I delivered a focused Minimum Viable Product to validate the concept and support early users, while Firebase ensured responsiveness and a solid backend infrastructure
