In 2023, I worked on the design of a custom notification center for a company in the agricultural industry. The goal was to centralize and automate internal communications, making the process of sending and tracking notifications more efficient, reliable, and scalable.
My Role
I was responsible for gathering functional requirements and designing the user interface in Figma, ensuring the platform would be intuitive for operational teams while supporting a wide range of communication scenarios.
The Challenge
The client faced several issues caused by fragmented notification management, including:
Lack of a unified system to create and manage notification templates
Inconsistent sender identities and manual message delivery
No visibility on which devices were receiving notifications
Difficulty scheduling recurring communications like reports or reminders
No way to review historical data for analysis or auditing
The Solution
I designed a tailored UI to support a robust and user-friendly notification workflow. Key features included:
Customizable templates with dynamic content for consistent and rapid message creation
Centralized sender management to ensure all communications come from verified sources
Device monitoring tools to keep recipient lists updated and accurate
Recurring email configuration for scheduled reports and reminders
Notification history tracking to audit communications and improve future messaging strategies
The platform allowed the client to significantly streamline internal communications, reduce human error, and ensure critical information reached the right people at the right time.
